This set of markets evaluates individual player and team defensive performance in an upcoming American football game, using a specific fantasy-point scoring system. Each market focuses on whether particular players or the defensive units achieve specified fantasy-point thresholds during the full game, including overtime.
All markets resolve based on fantasy points accumulated by specified players or defensive units in the full San Francisco vs Atlanta Pro Football game scheduled for Oct 25, 2026, including overtime. Fantasy points are calculated using Sleeper’s default full-PPR scoring system, with precise point values assigned for passing, rushing, receiving, kicking, and defensive/special teams stats. Players who do not participate or lack a fantasy-point value assigned by Sleeper are considered to have scored zero points. The official fantasy-point totals published by Sleeper at the time of market expiration are used for resolution, with no rounding applied and no corrections accepted after expiration. Each market has a unique threshold; if the specified player or defensive unit exceeds their respective threshold, the market resolves to Yes, otherwise to No.
Prediction market odds often reflect a different type of information than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the beliefs of a diverse group of forecasters. Often, prediction markets are more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when complex factors are at play. However, sportsbook odds can be influenced by public perception and betting trends, which may or may not align with the informed opinions expressed in this market. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or news breaks.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing potential outcomes, and the price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if more people buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust predictions accordingly. The current price indicates what traders collectively believe about the likely fantasy point totals.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final fantasy point totals for both the San Francisco and Atlanta teams will be used to determine the outcome. The resolution will be based on official data sources for fantasy football scoring, ensuring accuracy and transparency. Traders will be able to see the final results and how their predictions aligned with the actual event outcome after the resolution date.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. Injury reports for key players on either the San Francisco or Atlanta teams would be a major catalyst, as they directly affect projected fantasy point production. Unexpected changes in team strategy or coaching decisions could also shift expectations. Furthermore, any news regarding player matchups or weather conditions that might influence scoring could lead to price movements. Significant shifts in public sentiment, even if not based on concrete information, can also temporarily influence trading activity in this market.
