These markets track how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between San Diego State and Oregon State. Each market has a different threshold, determining whether the combined score exceeds that specific number.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the San Diego St. vs Oregon St. college football game scheduled for Oct 10, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold, it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored in the 4th quarter count, and overtime points are excluded from all calculations.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market relies on individuals freely expressing their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the game. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges closer to the game. Analyzing both can provide a more comprehensive view of potential outcomes.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price fluctuates, providing a dynamic assessment of the potential total points in the 4th quarter. The current price indicates the market's expectation, with higher prices suggesting a greater likelihood of a higher total score.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the 4th quarter of the San Diego St. vs Oregon St. game will be used to determine the winning contracts. Resolution will occur after the official game statistics are released and independently verified. Traders holding contracts on the correct total points range will be paid out according to the market’s pricing at resolution. The process ensures a transparent and accurate determination of the result.
Several factors could influence this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries for either San Diego St. or Oregon St. would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift the market. In-game developments, such as a dominant performance by one team or unexpected turnovers, would lead to rapid adjustments in the price. Public sentiment and analysis from sports commentators can also contribute to price fluctuations, as traders react to evolving narratives surrounding the game.
