These markets track how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between San Diego State and Colorado State. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined in that quarter.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the fourth quarter of the designated college football game, excluding any overtime periods. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 5.5, up to 27.5 points), the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during regulation fourth-quarter play count toward these outcomes.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, which can differ from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set lines to balance their risk, while this market’s prices are driven purely by supply and demand. If a significant number of traders believe the actual total points will be higher or lower than the sportsbook’s line, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the 4th quarter total. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are constantly adjusting their bids and asks based on new information and their own analysis, creating a dynamic and efficient price discovery process. The current price indicates what the collective market believes the most likely total will be.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the 4th quarter of the San Diego St. vs Colorado St. game will be used to determine the winning contracts. It's important to note that the official game statistics will be the source of truth for resolution, ensuring a transparent and objective outcome. Traders should monitor the game closely as it progresses to understand how the market is reacting to real-time events.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either San Diego St. or Colorado St. would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also move the market. In-game performance during the first three quarters, such as a dominant offensive showing by one team, will undoubtedly influence trader behavior and adjust the price. Unexpected coaching decisions or significant momentum shifts could also be catalysts for movement.
