This market focuses on whether San Diego State wins by more than 10.5 points in the second quarter of their college football game against Colorado State. The outcome depends solely on the point differential during that specific quarter.
Markets resolve based on whether San Diego State wins the second quarter by more than specified point margins (10.5, 7.5, 6.5, 3.5, or 2.5 points) or Colorado State wins by more than specified margins (2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, or 10.5 points). Only points scored in the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, markets resolve based on the official result; otherwise, they resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on their own analysis, aiming to balance action on both sides. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading contracts, expressing their own beliefs about the game’s outcome. While sportsbooks may adjust their lines based on betting patterns, the dynamic pricing of a prediction market can react more quickly to new information and shifts in sentiment, potentially providing a different perspective on the expected result.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads. The price of a contract indicates the probability that the actual second quarter spread will fall on the corresponding side of the spread. As more traders buy contracts predicting a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to reflect the collective intelligence of all participants, creating a real-time assessment of the event's likelihood.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final second quarter spread of the San Diego St. vs Colorado St. game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result reported by the governing sports organization, and the market will pay out to contract holders based on whether the actual spread falls on the side of the spread they purchased a contract for. This ensures a transparent and objective determination of the market’s outcome.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the San Diego St. or Colorado St. teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they are expected to impact the game's style of play, could also shift the market. Finally, any significant public information released about team strategies or player matchups could also impact trading activity and the overall price of contracts in this market.
