This set of markets focuses on predicting the margin of victory for either San Diego State or Colorado State in the second half of their college football matchup. Each market corresponds to a specific point differential threshold that must be exceeded by the winning team during the second half, including any overtime periods.
The markets resolve based on the point differential in the second half (including overtime) of the San Diego State vs Colorado State college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026. For markets where San Diego State must win by a specified margin, the outcome is Yes only if San Diego State’s second-half points exceed Colorado State’s by more than the stated threshold. Conversely, for markets where Colorado State must win by a specified margin, the outcome is Yes only if Colorado State’s second-half points exceed San Diego State’s by more than the stated threshold. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during the second half, including any overtime periods, are considered for resolution.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds due to varying information and incentives. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Comparing this market to sportsbook odds can reveal where the crowd believes there is value, or where the sportsbook may have mispriced the probability of a particular outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the final point spread. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, with higher prices indicating greater confidence. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders can take either the 'buy' (yes) or 'sell' (no) side, effectively making a prediction and taking the opposing position. The market dynamically adjusts as more traders participate, providing a real-time assessment of the expected outcome.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the San Diego St. or Colorado St. teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in coaching strategies, weather forecasts, or even public sentiment could also impact trading activity. Unexpected announcements about player availability, or shifts in betting patterns at sportsbooks, could also contribute to price fluctuations. Monitoring these signals can help traders identify potential opportunities and adjust their positions accordingly.
