Prediction market odds, like those found on Kalshi and Predict, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market relies on individuals wagering their own capital. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly deviates from expert opinion. Generally, prediction markets tend to be more accurate than sportsbook odds, particularly when there’s significant public interest in this market, but comparing the two can reveal valuable insights.
