Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe an outcome is more likely than a sportsbook suggests, the prediction market odds will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money has been traded on Polymarket.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Samsun doubles match. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The closer the match gets, the more the price will reflect the perceived probability of either team winning. The current price indicates what traders collectively believe is the likelihood of a particular outcome.
