Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven by individual traders expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes a sportsbook has mispriced the probability of a particular result. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Samsun doubles match. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event’s likelihood. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand among traders on Polymarket.
