Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the same data. It’s common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook odds, especially as new information emerges.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a specific outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. The market's price is determined by supply and demand; if many traders believe an outcome is likely, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase.
This market resolves around Oct 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Dudeney vs Aksu match. The platform will rely on widely accepted sources to determine the winner, ensuring a transparent and accurate settlement process.
