In the upcoming FIFA International Friendlies game between Russia and Nigeria, scheduled for October 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Russia vs. Nigeria match originally scheduled for October 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can often be more accurate than initial sportsbook lines, especially as the event approaches. Sportsbooks often set initial odds to balance their books and may incorporate biases, whereas this market aggregates diverse opinions. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and provide a useful benchmark. It’s common to see prediction market probabilities adjust more dynamically in response to new information or shifts in sentiment than traditional betting odds. Comparing the two can offer a broader perspective on the likely outcome.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible exact score. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more people buy contracts for a specific score, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform uses a market-making algorithm to ensure there’s always a bid and ask price available, allowing traders to enter and exit positions at any time. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to reflect the collective intelligence of the participants.
This market resolves around Oct 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Russia vs. Nigeria match will be used to determine the winning contract. The resolution will be based on the exact score achieved at the end of regulation time, excluding any potential extra time or penalty shootouts. The platform will verify the result against reliable sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding the winning contract will receive a payout based on the final market price.
Several factors could influence the Russia-Nigeria score market. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions on either team would likely cause significant shifts in probabilities. Unexpected changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also impact the market. Furthermore, general soccer news, weather conditions at the match location, and even public sentiment expressed through social media could all contribute to price movements. Major upsets in other relevant matches leading up to the event might also influence traders' expectations and affect the volume.
