In the upcoming FIFA International Friendlies game between Russia and Nigeria, scheduled for October 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Russia vs. Nigeria match originally scheduled for October 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often incorporating information not immediately available to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially leading to odds that diverge from those offered by sportsbooks. These differences can arise from unique insights held by traders or a different weighting of various factors influencing the game's outcome. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than traditional betting venues.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price movements are driven by supply and demand; increased buying pressure raises prices, while increased selling pressure lowers them. This dynamic process ensures the market price remains a real-time indicator of expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final, official score of the Russia versus Nigeria match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the officially recorded score at the conclusion of the game, as determined by the governing sporting body. Any potential adjustments or corrections to the score will be considered as part of the resolution process, ensuring accuracy and fairness. The final score will be the definitive factor in determining which shares payout.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Russia or Nigeria would likely cause price shifts. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring one team's playing style, could also move the market. Unexpected announcements about team tactics or formations might also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, any significant shifts in public opinion, as reflected in polls or expert analyses, could contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
