In the upcoming DFB-Pokal game between Rot-Weiss Essen and RB Leipzig, scheduled for October 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Rot-Weiss Essen vs. RB Leipzig match originally scheduled for October 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as more information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the same data. It's common to see prediction markets adjust more quickly to new information than sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. Higher demand for shares in a particular outcome will drive up its price, while increased selling pressure will lower it. This dynamic process ensures that the market price is a constantly updated reflection of the prevailing sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Rot-Weiss Essen vs. RB Leipzig match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The market will settle to 100% in favor of the exact score that occurs during the official match. Any deviations or disputes will be assessed based on official match results published by recognized soccer authorities. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand how this market will be settled.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Rot-Weiss Essen or RB Leipzig would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Unexpected changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, weather conditions on match day and any pre-game analysis from soccer experts could sway opinions and affect the price of shares. Major upsets in other related matches might also indirectly influence this market as traders reassess overall team form.
