Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their own informed opinions. If a significant amount of volume flows towards one player, the odds will adjust accordingly, potentially signaling a disagreement with the sportsbook's initial assessment. It’s common to see prediction markets converge towards the true probability as more information becomes available and traders refine their predictions.
