PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All platforms consistently resolve based on the official ATP Tour results, handling retirement, default, cancellation, and time-based resolution similarly.Primary resolution logic: Official ATP Tour scoring page (https://www.atptour.com/en/scores/current)

Core resolution logic:

  • The winner is the player who advances in the match according to official ATP results.
  • Retirement or default awards the win to the opposing player.
  • Cancellation or no winner determined within 14 days of the scheduled start results in a 50-50 split.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Match Abandonment: If the match begins but is not completed, the player who advances (due to retirement, default, or disqualification) wins. If the match is canceled before play begins, or is not completed within 14 days, it resolves to 50-50.
  • Tiebreaks: Tiebreaks count as one game in game-related markets (e.g., total games over/under).
Timing: Resolution occurs once the official ATP Tour publishes the match result, or 14 days after the scheduled start if no winner is determined. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction market odds, like those found on this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit from margins, while prediction markets are driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public sentiment diverges from expert opinion. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information and adjust probabilities more dynamically than sportsbooks.

Polymarket and Opinion can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Opinion may differ due to variations in user base, market design, and trading volume. Polymarket may attract a different type of trader than Opinion, leading to differing opinions reflected in the prices. Additionally, the specific rules and incentives on each platform can influence trading behavior. For example, one platform might have lower trading fees or offer different reward structures, impacting how participants value and trade on this market. These factors contribute to the observed price discrepancies.
