Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and may incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows anyone to trade and express their beliefs. If the sportsbook odds significantly diverge from the probabilities implied by this market, arbitrage opportunities may arise for traders who can capitalize on the difference. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks.
