These markets track the total points scored by both teams during the first half of a college football game between Rice and Florida Atlantic. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the first half of the Rice vs Florida Atlantic college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026. For any market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 6.5, 9.5 points, etc.), it resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. Only points scored in the first half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. Often, prediction markets can be more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when there's significant public interest. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and provide a common benchmark for comparison. It’s important to consider both sources when forming your own opinion about the likely outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different total point outcomes for the first half. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the collective intelligence of the crowd. The market depth and order book are visible on the Kalshi interface, providing transparency into the trading activity.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the total points scored in the first half of the Rice vs Florida Atlantic game are verifiable from credible public reporting. The official game statistics will be used to determine the final result. The market will settle to 100 for the winning outcome and 0 for any losing outcomes. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct total points scored will receive a payout, while those holding contracts for incorrect outcomes will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Rice or Florida Atlantic would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift the market. Game day previews from analysts and updated betting lines from sportsbooks may also influence trader behavior. Finally, early game performance – such as a quick scoring drive or a defensive stop – could lead to rapid adjustments in the price of this market as traders react to the unfolding events.
