Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. This difference in mechanisms, combined with varying user bases and liquidity, can lead to price discrepancies. Furthermore, each platform may attract different types of traders – some more analytically focused, others more influenced by public sentiment.
