Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, on Polymarket, reflects the collective wisdom of traders and aims to represent the true probabilities of each outcome. While sportsbooks may adjust odds based on public betting patterns, prediction markets allow anyone to directly express their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or news breaks.
