Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a more diverse range of information than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks primarily consider statistical models and expert analysis, while prediction markets incorporate the collective intelligence of many traders. This can lead to differences, as prediction markets may quickly adjust to news or insights not yet fully priced into sportsbook lines. However, both aim to accurately predict the probability of an event, and arbitrage opportunities can sometimes arise from discrepancies between them. This market’s implied probabilities are a fascinating comparison point.
