Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s prices are driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the probability of each team scoring first. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook is mispricing the event, you may see divergence between the two. It’s common to observe prediction markets being more accurate than sportsbook odds, especially when there’s strong public interest and active trading in this market.
