In the upcoming match between Real Sociedad de Fútbol and Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 10:15 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Real Sociedad de Fútbol" if Real Sociedad de Fútbol are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Rayo Vallecano de Madrid" if Rayo Vallecano de Madrid are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from La Liga (https://www.laliga.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. As more information becomes available – such as team news or weather conditions – the prediction market odds tend to adjust rapidly, potentially offering a more up-to-date assessment of the likely outcome than traditional sportsbooks. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before a significant event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Real Sociedad or Rayo Vallecano will score first in the second half. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a probability estimate. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The closer the event gets, the more volatile the price can become as new information emerges and traders refine their predictions. The current price reflects the collective assessment of all participants.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will depend on which team – Real Sociedad or Rayo Vallecano – scores the first goal during the second half of the match. The official match records will be used to determine the winning outcome. Any goals scored during extra time or a penalty shootout will not be considered for the purposes of this market.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Real Sociedad or Rayo Vallecano would likely cause a shift in the odds. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team's playing style, could also impact the market. Even tactical announcements from the managers, such as a change in formation, could lead to traders adjusting their positions. Any unexpected events during the first half of the match could also drive significant movement in this market.
