PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms utilize identical resolution criteria regarding the timeframe, scoring conditions, and fallback data sources.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with fallback to Flashscore, then Sofascore, then a consensus of credible reporting.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the outcome.
  • If no team scores within the specified timeframe, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponements result in the market remaining open until the game is completed.
  • Cancellations result in the market resolving to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50.
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Timing: Resolution will occur as soon as the official final result is available, but no later than 24 hours after the event's conclusion, potentially resolving 50-50 if data is unavailable. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Sportsbooks set odds to ensure profitability, incorporating a margin for themselves, while prediction markets are driven by genuine user belief. This can lead to more accurate probabilities, as the crowd's collective intelligence often outperforms individual oddsmakers. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Predict can arise from several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and information. Trading volume also plays a role; a market with low volume on one platform may be more susceptible to price swings. Additionally, the specific rules and incentives on each platform can influence trading behavior.
