Description

This prediction market asks users to forecast which team, Real Salt Lake or San Jose Earthquakes, will score more goals in the second half of a Major League Soccer (MLS) match, or if the two teams will draw. Resolution is based on official match statistics, with fallback sources if official data is unavailable.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms utilize identical resolution criteria, focusing on second-half goals and employing the same tiered source hierarchy.Primary resolution logic: Official match statistics, with tiered fallback to Flashscore, Sofascore, and credible reporting.

Core resolution logic:

  • The team with more goals scored in the second half (including stoppage time) wins.
  • If both teams score the same number of goals in the second half, the market resolves to a draw.
  • First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed.
  • Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves to a draw.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore data is unavailable, Sofascore data will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
Timing: Resolution occurs once the second half (including stoppage time) is completed and official or fallback data confirms the result, but no later than 24 hours after the event's conclusion. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.
