This prediction market asks for the exact final score of a Major League Soccer (MLS) match between Real Salt Lake and Los Angeles Galaxy. Resolution depends on the score at the end of regulation time (90 minutes plus stoppage time), excluding extra time or penalty shootouts. A tie or a score not explicitly listed resolves to 'Any Other Score'.
In the upcoming MLS game between Real Salt Lake and Los Angeles Galaxy, scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Real Salt Lake vs. Los Angeles Galaxy match originally scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of participants, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market is driven by individuals betting their own capital. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook's initial assessment. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information or changing circumstances affecting the game, providing a dynamic alternative to fixed odds.
Prices for this market can vary between Polymarket and Predict due to a number of factors. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base with differing opinions and risk tolerance, which influences trading activity. Additionally, trading volume can be unevenly distributed between the two platforms, leading to price discrepancies. The fee structures on Polymarket and Predict may also contribute to these differences, as can the specific mechanisms each platform uses for market creation and order matching. These factors combine to create potentially different price discovery processes.
This market is scheduled to resolve around Nov 8, 2026. The outcome will be determined by the officially recorded final score of the Real Salt Lake versus Los Angeles Galaxy match, verified against credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official league data and widely available sports news outlets to ensure accuracy. Once the official result is available, the market will settle to reflect the correct outcome, distributing payouts to those who accurately predicted the exact score.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before resolution. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Real Salt Lake or the Galaxy would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to heavily influence the style of play, could also move the market. Significant pre-game analysis from respected sports commentators or unexpected lineup announcements could also trigger trading activity and alter the predicted final score. Any major developments leading up to the match have the potential to influence the outcome and, consequently, the prices in this market.
