In the upcoming La Liga game between Real Madrid CF and Sevilla FC, scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Real Madrid CF vs. Sevilla FC match originally scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially as the event approaches. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to profit from public perception, while this market aggregates the beliefs of informed traders. However, initial sportsbook lines can sometimes offer value before the prediction market fully incorporates all available information. It's important to compare both to gain a comprehensive understanding of the expected outcome, and to identify any discrepancies that might present a trading opportunity.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s efficiency is driven by the incentive for traders to accurately assess the likelihood of each result, as profitable trades depend on correctly predicting the final score.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official score of the Real Madrid CF versus Sevilla FC match will determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the score reported by official sources, such as the official La Liga website or widely recognized sports news outlets. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Polymarket once the event has concluded and the results have been verified.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Real Madrid or Sevilla would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Tactical announcements from either manager, such as confirmed starting lineups or changes in formation, could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even significant events in other La Liga matches that affect team motivation, could also contribute to movement. Overall, any information that alters the perceived probability of different exact scores has the potential to move this market.
