Predict
This prediction market asks which team will score the first goal in a soccer match between Real Betis Balompié and CA Osasuna. It also includes an option for neither team scoring in the first 90 minutes plus stoppage time. The markets define a clear resolution source hierarchy.
In the upcoming match between Real Betis Balompié and CA Osasuna, scheduled for October 11, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Real Betis Balompié" if Real Betis Balompié are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. This market will resolve to "CA Osasuna" if CA Osasuna are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect a more nuanced understanding of event outcomes than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks incorporate a profit margin into their odds, while prediction markets are driven by traders directly assessing probabilities. This can lead to differences, especially when public opinion diverges from sportsbook expectations. However, both aim to accurately forecast the likelihood of an event, and both can be valuable tools for informed decision-making. The efficiency of this market depends on participation and information available to traders.
Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict can diverge due to several factors. These platforms have different user bases, trading volumes, and risk appetites, all of which influence price discovery. Polymarket might attract more sophisticated traders who quickly incorporate new information, while Predict could have a broader audience with varying levels of analysis. Furthermore, the liquidity available on each platform affects how easily prices adjust to new information. Differences in trading fees and platform-specific rules can also contribute to price discrepancies in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, particularly to key attacking players, could significantly shift probabilities. Changes in team form, such as a recent winning or losing streak, would also be closely watched by traders. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even tactical changes announced by either manager, could also impact the perceived likelihood of either team scoring first. Overall team morale and any pre-match controversies could contribute to movement in this market.
