In the upcoming match between RCD Espanyol de Barcelona and RC Deportivo A Coruña, scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 10:15 AM ET: This market will resolve to "RCD Espanyol de Barcelona" if RCD Espanyol de Barcelona are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "RC Deportivo A Coruña" if RC Deportivo A Coruña are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time. Second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from La Liga (https://www.laliga.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a 'vig' or commission. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of people believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price will move accordingly, potentially offering value to informed traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information or risk assessments.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Espanyol or Deportivo will score first in the first half. As more shares are purchased for a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, allowing traders to express their views and profit if their predictions are accurate. The market’s price is solely determined by supply and demand among traders on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on which team, Espanyol or Deportivo, is officially recorded as scoring the first goal during the first half of the match. The official match records will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. Any disputes regarding the official result will be addressed according to Polymarket’s standard procedures, but the core principle is verification against publicly available and reliable sources.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Late-breaking news regarding injuries to key players on either Espanyol or Deportivo could significantly shift expectations. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced shortly before the match could also impact the perceived likelihood of either team scoring first. Even weather conditions on match day, such as heavy rain or strong winds, might influence the game’s dynamics and, consequently, the market price. Any significant news related to team morale or recent performance could also play a role.
