However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, driven by traders on Polymarket, represents a collective forecast, potentially identifying information not fully captured by sportsbooks. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, access to information, or simply the dynamic nature of trading activity as new information emerges before the match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, creating a dynamic and responsive forecast for which team will score first in the second half of the Strasbourg vs. Auxerre match.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team—Strasbourg or Auxerre—scores the first goal in the second half of the match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. Trading will cease upon resolution, and shares will be settled accordingly, reflecting the accuracy of the market’s predictions.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Strasbourg or Auxerre would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, any significant pre-match analysis or expert opinions released could sway the market. Unexpected lineup announcements close to kickoff are also likely to move this market as traders react to the updated information.
