Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often incorporating information not immediately available to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbook odds are set by professionals, this market allows anyone to participate and express their view on the likelihood of a specific outcome. Therefore, you might observe differences between the two, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to breaking news or changes in team lineups than sportsbooks, potentially offering a more up-to-date assessment of probabilities.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Deportivo or Osasuna will score first in the second half. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price converges towards a consensus view. Higher trading volume generally indicates greater confidence in the market's accuracy. The current price indicates what the market believes is the fair probability of each team scoring first, and this price fluctuates based on supply and demand.

This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the second half of the RC Deportivo A Coruña versus CA Osasuna match. Official match data will be used to determine the winning outcome. Any goals scored during extra time or a penalty shootout will not be considered for the purposes of this market’s resolution. The final result will be clearly indicated on Polymarket once verified.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Deportivo or Osasuna would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also impact the perceived likelihood of either team scoring. Furthermore, in-game events during the first half – such as red cards, penalties, or dominant performances by one team – could lead to substantial shifts in trading activity and price adjustments. Unexpected tactical changes announced before or during the match could also be a catalyst.
