In the upcoming La Liga game between RC Celta de Vigo and Deportivo Alavés, scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 10:15 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the RC Celta de Vigo vs. Deportivo Alavés match originally scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 10:15 AM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual halftime score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of trading volume accumulates, as the market attempts to find a true probability assessment.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different possible exact first-half scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s implied probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective belief. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s depth—the number of shares available at different price points—also provides insight into the level of conviction behind each outcome. Trading volume is a key indicator of interest in specific scores.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score at the end of the first half of the RC Celta de Vigo vs. Deportivo Alavés match will determine the winning share. The resolution will be based on the official result as reported by a trusted sports data provider, ensuring an objective and verifiable outcome for all traders participating in this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Celta or Alavés would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to significantly impact the style of play, could also affect the market. Furthermore, any significant pre-match analysis from respected football commentators or analysts could sway trader sentiment and lead to price fluctuations. Unexpected lineup announcements could also trigger movement in this market.
