Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict define the same resolution criteria regarding the first goal scored within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, and the 'Neither' outcome.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with fallback to Flashscore and Sofascore.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the winner.
  • If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded from consideration.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed.
  • Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
Timing: Resolution will occur after the completion of the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, with a maximum delay of 24 hours due to data sourcing. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market.
