This market determines which running back will achieve the highest fantasy points in a specific week of the NFL season using a standard scoring system. The outcome is based solely on player performance during the designated week, with points calculated from various statistical categories.
Each market resolves to Yes if the specified running back finishes highest in total full-PPR fantasy points for all RBs in Week 7 of the 2026 Pro Football regular season. Fantasy points are calculated using Sleeper's default full-PPR scoring system, which awards points for passing, rushing, receiving, kicking, and defensive/statistical categories. If the designated player does not play in Week 7, they are considered to have scored zero points. If multiple players tie for the highest points, the market resolves to 1/N where N is the number of tied players, with no holder receiving $1 minus the Yes payout. All markets share identical scoring rules and tiebreaker conditions, with player eligibility determined by Sleeper at expiration.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. Often, you'll find that prediction markets are more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when there's significant public interest and information available. However, sportsbook odds can be useful for comparison, and discrepancies may present opportunities for arbitrage.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief in a particular running back being the Week 7 leader. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived chance of success. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders adjust their bids and asks based on new information, leading to dynamic price movements. This creates a market-driven assessment of each player's potential performance, distinct from pre-season rankings or expert opinions.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the final fantasy football points scored by each running back in Week 7, as reported by a major fantasy sports provider. The player with the highest point total will be declared the winner of this market. The resolution process is designed to be objective and transparent, relying on publicly available data to determine the result.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before resolution. Injury reports are a major catalyst; news of a key injury to a top running back would likely shift probabilities. Changes in team matchups or coaching strategies could also influence expectations. Unexpected player performance in previous games, or even weather forecasts for Week 7, can all contribute to price movements. Any news that alters the perceived likelihood of a player’s success will be reflected in the trading activity and subsequent odds changes within this market.
