This market assesses whether specific running backs will rank among the top performers in fantasy football points during Week 4 of the 2026 NFL season, using a points-per-reception scoring system.
Each market resolves to Yes if the named running back finishes within the top five in total full-PPR fantasy points for all eligible running backs in Week 4 of the 2026 NFL regular season, as calculated by Sleeper. Points include rushing, receiving, and select special teams contributions, with specific awards per yard, touchdown, reception, and other statistical achievements. Players who do not participate that week are considered to have scored zero points. If multiple players tie for the fifth position, each tied contract settles at a fractional value based on the number of tied players (e.g., two tied players each receive $0.50). All rankings and point totals are determined solely by Sleeper's official calculations at the market's expiration.
Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders predicting the likely outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of player potential. If you find a significant difference between the implied probability here and sportsbook odds, it could signal a potential edge, though it's important to consider the volume supporting each price.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome—in this case, each player being in the top 5. The price of a contract reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time view of expectations for the NFL fantasy football landscape. The goal is to find discrepancies between your own assessment and the market price.
This market resolves around Oct 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official top 5 fantasy football players are verified against credible public reporting from major fantasy sports providers. The final rankings will determine which contracts pay out, and the payout amount will be based on the price of the contract at the time of resolution. Traders should monitor news and performance data leading up to the resolution date to stay informed about potential shifts in market probabilities.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Player injuries are a major catalyst, as the absence of key players can drastically alter fantasy football projections. Unexpected breakout performances from lesser-known players could also drive price movements. News regarding team strategies, coaching changes, or changes in player roles can also influence trading activity. Finally, any significant shifts in public perception, as reflected in updated fantasy football rankings from prominent analysts, could lead to changes in this market.
