PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria, including the 90-minute plus stoppage time window, fallback data sources, and handling of postponements and cancellations.Primary resolution logic: Official match statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with fallback to Flashscore and Sofascore.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the winner.
  • If neither team scores within the specified timeframe, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponed matches will have the market remain open until completion.
  • Canceled matches will resolve to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore data is unavailable, Sofascore data will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market will resolve 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Timing: Resolution will occur as soon as official match statistics are available, or within 24 hours of the match's conclusion if fallback sources are required. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often reflect a ‘wisdom of the crowd’ that can differ from traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set initial odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while prediction markets allow anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially incorporating information not readily available to bookmakers. This can lead to prediction market prices being more accurate, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. However, sportsbooks typically offer tighter spreads and higher liquidity, while prediction markets may have lower volume, impacting ease of trade. The difference in odds can present arbitrage opportunities for informed traders.
