Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can express that view through their trades, potentially causing the prediction market odds to diverge. It’s common to see differences, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts, but those differences can be small or large.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the collective intelligence of the market. The current implied probability of the top outcome, as reflected by the share price, is 35.5%.
This market resolves around Nov 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Raptors-76ers game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game result as reported by a major sports data provider. The market will determine which outcome—a Raptors win or a 76ers win—is the correct one based on this publicly available information. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their positions accordingly.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before it resolves. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in starting lineups, or coaching strategies for either the Raptors or the 76ers would likely impact trading activity. Unexpected news about team morale or off-court issues could also influence the market. Furthermore, any shifts in public perception, perhaps driven by expert analysis or media coverage, could lead to changes in trader sentiment and, consequently, the price of shares in this market.
