In the upcoming Ranji Trophy cricket match between Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11:00 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve to draw. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the same data. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks in response to new information, as they are continuously updated by traders reacting to developments.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. As more people buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher probability. Conversely, selling pressure drives the price down. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current top outcome, Will Vidarbha win?, has a chance percentage of 100.0% based on trading activity. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective forecast.
This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Ranji Trophy match between Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh, as declared by the governing body of Indian domestic cricket. The market will determine which team ultimately won the match, and that result will be used to settle all outstanding shares. Traders should monitor official sources for the final outcome to understand how this market will be settled.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team composition, or weather forecasts impacting playing conditions could all move the market. Unexpected performance in earlier matches of the Ranji Trophy season, or even commentary from cricket analysts, could also sway trader sentiment. Furthermore, significant betting activity, even outside of Polymarket, could create momentum and influence the price of shares in either team winning the Vidarbha vs Madhya Pradesh match.
