This market refers to the cricket match between Vidarbha and Goa scheduled for October 26 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Ranji Trophy. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market will remain open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Comparing prediction market odds to sportsbook odds reveals how collective intelligence differs from traditional oddsmaking. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, aiming to balance action on both sides. This market, however, reflects the aggregated beliefs of individuals trading on Polymarket, potentially incorporating unique information or undervalued factors. Discrepancies can arise due to differing risk assessments, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of information flow. Often, prediction markets can be more accurate than traditional methods, especially closer to the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates what traders are collectively willing to pay for a share that pays out if the outcome resolves favorably. As more information becomes available or sentiment shifts, the prices will adjust, providing a real-time assessment of the event's potential results.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Ranji Trophy match between Vidarbha and Goa, as declared by the governing body of Indian domestic cricket. The market will determine which team emerged victorious, or if the match ended in a draw or tie, based on the official scorecard and match report. Traders will then be paid out based on their holdings in the winning outcome.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding team composition, such as key player injuries or unexpected lineup changes, could significantly shift probabilities. Weather forecasts impacting playing conditions are also crucial, as they can favor one team's style of play over another. Furthermore, early performance in the match itself – for example, a strong batting display by one side – will likely cause rapid adjustments in the market. Finally, any expert analysis or public commentary predicting a shift in momentum could also influence trading activity on Polymarket.
