In the upcoming Ranji Trophy cricket match between Uttar Pradesh and Baroda, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11:00 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total. The outcome corresponding to Uttar Pradesh will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from Uttar Pradesh. The outcome corresponding to Baroda will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Baroda. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is abandoned or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially uncovering insights missed by traditional oddsmakers. If a significant discrepancy exists, it could suggest that market participants have information or perspectives that aren’t yet reflected in sportsbook pricing. It’s important to compare both to form a well-rounded view of potential outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player’s likelihood of being the top batter. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the field. The player with the highest share price is considered the most likely to win, according to the market.
This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official match statistics identifying the player who scored the most runs across both innings of the Uttar Pradesh vs Baroda Ranji Trophy match. The official scorecard will serve as the definitive source for determining the top batter and settling this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather forecasts impacting playing conditions could all shift probabilities. Strong performances by a particular player in prior matches or recent form could also drive increased demand for their shares. Additionally, significant bets from informed traders—or even large media coverage—can create momentum and affect the price of shares in this market, especially as the match draws closer.
