In the upcoming Ranji Trophy cricket match between Tripura and Saurashtra, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11:00 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve to draw. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin for themselves. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, potentially leading to odds that more accurately reflect the true probabilities of each outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, analytical approaches, and the influence of public opinion versus informed betting strategies. It’s important to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on the latest information and collective intelligence of the participants.
This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Ranji Trophy match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result, determining the winning outcome in this market, will be based on the official match result as declared by the governing body of the Ranji Trophy. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies based on the verified outcome of the match. It's important to monitor official sources for the final determination.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in weather conditions that might affect the match, or significant shifts in team form could all cause traders to reassess their predictions. Unexpected announcements related to the playing conditions or even strategic decisions made by team management could also lead to price movements. Furthermore, major upsets in other related matches or updated analyst predictions could impact the collective sentiment and therefore the odds in this market.
