This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total in the cricket match between Saurashtra and Assam scheduled for October 26 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Ranji Trophy. The outcome corresponding to Saurashtra will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from Saurashtra. The outcome corresponding to Assam will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Assam. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially incorporating information not immediately available to sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows for real-time adjustments based on new information and changing perceptions. It’s common to see differences emerge, particularly as the event approaches and more data becomes available. These discrepancies can present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders exploit price differences between the two types of markets.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player being the top batter. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. Higher demand for a particular player’s shares will drive up the price, indicating increased confidence in their performance, while lower demand will lead to a price decrease. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date information.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs in the match between Saurashtra and Assam. In the event of a tie, the market will resolve according to the rules defined on Polymarket. The official match scorecard will serve as the primary source for determining the top batter, and the result will be verified against credible public sources to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries or changes to the team lineups would likely cause significant shifts in probabilities. Weather forecasts predicting unfavorable conditions for batting could also impact the odds, potentially favoring bowlers. Furthermore, expert analysis and pre-match commentary offering insights into player form and pitch conditions could sway trader sentiment. Finally, any unexpected developments during the match itself, such as a key player getting out early, will undoubtedly lead to rapid adjustments in this market.
