This market refers to the cricket match between Rajasthan and Railways scheduled for October 18 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Ranji Trophy. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market will remain open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than those found at sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, this market allows traders to express their own independent assessments of the likely outcome. This can sometimes lead to odds that diverge from traditional sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges or if a significant number of traders hold a strong, contrarian view. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks in response to breaking news or shifts in public opinion.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a specific outcome. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the market participants, creating a real-time forecast of the event’s potential results.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Ranji Trophy match between Rajasthan and Railways as determined by the governing bodies of the tournament. The market will settle to 100% for the winning team or outcome, and 0% for all others. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand how this market will be settled.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player form, weather conditions affecting play, or even strategic announcements from team management could all cause shifts in the odds. Unexpected performances by key players during the match itself will likely have a significant impact. Furthermore, any major upsets or surprising results in other Ranji Trophy matches could also influence traders’ perceptions and lead to changes in the price of shares in this market.
