In the upcoming Ranji Trophy cricket match between Railways and Mumbai, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11:00 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve to draw. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin regardless of the outcome. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective wisdom of traders, who are incentivized to accurately assess the probability of each outcome. As a result, you may find that the implied probabilities from Polymarket differ from those offered by sportsbooks, potentially revealing where the crowd believes there is value or mispricing in the conventional odds.
This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Ranji Trophy match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official match result as declared by the governing body of the Ranji Trophy. The market will determine which outcome – a win for Railways, a win for Mumbai, or a draw – occurred according to the official scorecard and match report. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out accordingly.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in pitch conditions, or weather forecasts could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected performance from key players during the match itself will also be a major catalyst. Furthermore, expert analysis and pre-match predictions from cricket analysts could sway opinions and drive trading volume. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for understanding how this market evolves as the Ranji Trophy match progresses.
