This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total in the cricket match between Punjab and Assam scheduled for October 11 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Ranji Trophy. The outcome corresponding to Punjab will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from Punjab. The outcome corresponding to Assam will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Assam. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome – in this case, each player being the top batter. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people trade, the prices adjust to reflect the collective intelligence of the crowd. The market is driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a player has a high chance of success, demand for their shares will increase, driving up the price.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs in the first innings of the Ranji Trophy match between Punjab and Assam. The official match scorecard will serve as the determining factor. The player with the highest run total will be declared the winner of this market, and shares corresponding to that outcome will pay out accordingly.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather forecasts impacting playing conditions could all cause movement. A strong performance by a player in a recent match, or expert analysis suggesting a particular batter is in good form, could also drive up demand for their shares. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of a player’s likelihood of being the top batter has the potential to move this market significantly.
