This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total in the cricket match between Madhya Pradesh and Bihar scheduled for October 26 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Ranji Trophy. The outcome corresponding to Madhya Pradesh will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from Madhya Pradesh. The outcome corresponding to Bihar will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Bihar. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market aggregates insights from individuals actively researching and trading on the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the same data. It’s common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available closer to the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player’s likelihood of being the top batter. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the market price adjusts to reflect the aggregated sentiment. The market’s liquidity, indicated by the trading volume, can also influence price movements and the speed at which odds change.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs across both innings of the Ranji Trophy match between Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. The official match scorecard will serve as the definitive source for determining the top batter. Any ambiguities or disputes will be resolved based on standard cricket scoring rules and widely accepted statistical data.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Player form leading up to the match, any late injury announcements, or changes in weather conditions affecting the pitch could all shift probabilities. News regarding team selection, particularly if a key batter is rested, would likely cause significant movement. Furthermore, in-match performance during the first innings – such as a strong start by a particular player – could trigger a rapid adjustment in the odds as traders react to the unfolding events.
