This market refers to the cricket match between Kerala and Bengal scheduled for October 26 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Ranji Trophy. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market will remain open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect a different set of information and incentives than traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks primarily focus on setting lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, allowing traders to weigh various factors, including team form, player statistics, and even external factors like weather conditions. This can lead to odds that diverge from sportsbook offerings, potentially providing opportunities for informed traders. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the event's potential results. The market’s price discovery process is driven by supply and demand, with higher demand for a specific outcome pushing its price up and vice versa.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Ranji Trophy match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be based on the official result declared by the tournament organizers. The resolution will reflect which team won the match, or if the match ended in a draw or was otherwise decided according to the official tournament rules. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the final, verified result.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries, changes in team composition, or weather forecasts impacting playing conditions could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected performance in preceding matches, or even pre-match analysis from cricket experts, could also drive price movements. Furthermore, large trades by influential participants on Polymarket could create short-term volatility. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to capitalize on potential opportunities before the market resolves.
