This market refers to the cricket match between Jammu And Kashmir and Vidarbha scheduled for October 18 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Ranji Trophy. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market will remain open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on their own analysis, while this market allows a broader range of participants to express their beliefs about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a larger sample size of opinions influencing the prediction market. It's common to see this market adjust rapidly as new information becomes available, potentially leading to odds that diverge from, or converge with, traditional sportsbook offerings.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Price movements are driven by supply and demand; increased buying pressure raises the price, while increased selling pressure lowers it. This dynamic process aims to create a market-driven forecast for the Ranji Trophy match.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Ranji Trophy match between Jammu And Kashmir and Vidarbha as declared by the governing body. The market will determine which outcome – a win for Jammu And Kashmir or a win for Vidarbha – is the officially recorded result, and shares will be settled accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final match result to understand the resolution process.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Unexpected news regarding player injuries, changes in weather conditions affecting gameplay, or significant shifts in team form could all prompt traders to reassess their predictions. Pre-match analysis from cricket experts, team announcements, and even early performance during the match itself can create volatility. Any information that alters the perceived probability of either Jammu And Kashmir or Vidarbha winning is likely to cause movement in the market, reflecting the evolving expectations of participants.
