This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total in the cricket match between Haryana and Chandigarh Lions scheduled for October 18 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Ranji Trophy. The outcome corresponding to Haryana will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from Haryana. The outcome corresponding to Chandigarh Lions will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Chandigarh Lions. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on internal models and attempt to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a particular player is more likely to succeed than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money has been wagered, as the market aggregates information from a diverse group of participants.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player being the top batter. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular player, the price increases, reflecting a higher perceived chance of success. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market efficiently incorporates new information as it becomes available, leading to dynamic price adjustments based on collective sentiment and any relevant news surrounding the players or teams involved.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The top batter will be determined based on the official match statistics for the Haryana vs Chandigarh Lions match, specifically the player who scores the most runs across both innings. The resolution will be based on publicly available and verified data, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the winning outcome for this market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized on Polymarket.
Several factors could influence the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather forecasts impacting playing conditions could significantly shift probabilities. A key player on either Haryana or Chandigarh Lions being ruled out due to injury would likely cause a substantial adjustment in the odds for other players. Furthermore, pre-match analysis from cricket experts and any updates on pitch conditions could also impact trader sentiment and move this market. Performance in recent matches and head-to-head records are also likely to be considered by traders.
