This event group concerns the outcome of a Ranji Trophy cricket match between Gujarat and Kerala, scheduled for November 1, 2026. Markets ask whether Gujarat will win, Kerala will win, or the match will end in a draw.
In the upcoming Ranji Trophy cricket match between Gujarat and Kerala, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11:00 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve to draw. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
The event resolves based on the official result of the Gujarat vs Kerala men's professional Test series cricket match scheduled for November 1, 2026. If Gujarat wins, the Gujarat market resolves Yes; if Kerala wins, the Kerala market resolves Yes; and if the match ends in a draw or tie, the Draw/Tie market resolves Yes. If the match is cancelled before commencement or abandoned before the toss with no official result, all markets resolve to a fair market price. If the match is delayed beyond five days from its original start time before commencement, all markets also resolve to a fair market price. However, if the match is abandoned after the toss, all markets resolve according to the official result declared by the governing body. Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance risk and profit, while this market is driven by individuals betting on their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment diverges from expert analysis. Differences may also arise due to varying levels of liquidity and the specific markets offered – sportsbooks may not offer the same granular options as prediction markets.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and information, influencing their trading decisions. Furthermore, the platforms have different fee structures and liquidity levels, which can impact price discovery. The volume traded on each platform – currently $5,003 in 24-hour volume – also plays a role, as higher volume generally leads to more efficient pricing. Finally, differing interpretations of available information about the Ranji Trophy match can contribute to these price discrepancies.
This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Ranji Trophy match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result will be determined by the official scorecards and match reports published by the governing bodies of the tournament. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to ensure accuracy and finalize the settlement of this market. Traders will be able to see the resolution details on PredictionHero once the event has concluded and the results are official.
Several factors could significantly impact the probabilities in this market. Unexpected player injuries or changes in team lineups for either Gujarat or Kerala would likely cause shifts in the odds. Weather conditions during the match, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also be a major catalyst. News reports about team morale, pitch conditions, or strategic changes could also influence trader behavior and move the market. Any significant developments related to the teams or the playing environment could lead to volatility in this market up until Nov 9, 2026.
