In the upcoming Ranji Trophy cricket match between Chhattisgarh and Hyderabad, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11:00 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve to draw. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines to balance action on both sides, incorporating a margin for profit. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. While sportsbooks may favor one team based on pre-match analysis, the prediction market can quickly adjust to new information or differing opinions, potentially offering a more nuanced view of the likely result. It’s important to compare both to get a comprehensive understanding of expectations.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders can buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. Currently, the most likely outcome, according to Polymarket, is a draw, with a probability of 100.0%. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, these probabilities will shift, influencing the price of shares in this market.
This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Ranji Trophy match between Chhattisgarh and Hyderabad, as reported by the governing body for Indian domestic cricket. The market will determine which outcome – a win for Chhattisgarh, a win for Hyderabad, or a draw – actually occurred during the match. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final, verified result.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team composition, or weather forecasts affecting playing conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected performance during the early stages of the match, such as a strong batting or bowling display by one team, would likely cause the odds to adjust. Additionally, any expert analysis or commentary offering a revised assessment of the teams’ chances could influence trading activity and move the market. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding potential shifts in probabilities before Nov 9, 2026.
