In the upcoming Ranji Trophy cricket match between Chandigarh Lions and Tamil Nadu, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11:00 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve to draw. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess the probability of an outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public opinion strongly diverges from the sportsbook’s initial assessment. It's common to see this market adjust rapidly to new information or shifts in sentiment, potentially offering different value than fixed-odds betting.
This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Ranji Trophy match between Chandigarh Lions and Tamil Nadu as reported by recognized sports authorities. The outcome will be determined by whether Chandigarh Lions win, Tamil Nadu win, or the match ends in a draw, based on the official scorecard and match results. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather conditions affecting the match could cause shifts in the odds. Unexpected performance from key players during the match itself will also be a major catalyst. Furthermore, any significant analysis or predictions from respected cricket analysts could influence trader sentiment and move the market. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market before it resolves.
